El fuego callado

This is the title of the book by Felix Romero Cañizares, a friend of mine for many years. The story takes place in a small Spanish town that could, in reality, be anywhere in the world, and recounts a tale about a fire that is started by a well-known inhabitant and all the repuercussions is has. Inspired by this story and preoccupied by the losses and misfortunes caused by fires every year, I decided to work on this piece.Reds, oranges, yellows...the colours of fire, an intense fire in a country suffering and without life. "Death"

Technical notes:
The paints used are synthetic, as well as acrylics of various mixtures. In order to get the intensity of colour seen, I used high shine varnishes.
To make the base of the relief I mixed parafin, marble dust, pigments and natural soils.
