Blue ocean

The different mixtures of blues, whites, violets, and reds result in a navy blue background which, when observed from a distance, we can interpret as multiple recognisable forms.
In this case, the ocean depths of Borneo reflect the face of a woman whose isolation, disquiet, and uncertainty manage to capture us in an instant.

Technical notes:
To form the base, I used ground glass and powdered marble. The relief was created from synthetic paint that was stored for months in order to dry out. This work was painted over another which had formed part of the four elements of life; reusing canvasses is a custom of mine - giving new life to life.
